Chelsea Flower Show 2007
The Laurent-Perrier Garden was created as a garden of reflection, inspired by the ‘journey of life’ we are all obliged to undertake. Strong sheer hedges, candle-shaped fastigiated oak trees and sculptural structures balance the vertical lines of the garden, and pathways created from Travertine marble on concrete plinths of varying heights take different routes through the planting, to represent a journey through shifting and unpredictable moments in life. Planting was soft and delicate in muted colours with many Umbellifers.
