Jardin Jardins 2010

The design for Jardin Jardins is a conceptual sculptural installation, rather than a traditional garden. It evokes the birth of champagne: the terroir, the fruit of the soil and the complexity and elegance of what is ultimately created from it.

The idea was born after seeing aerial photographs of the landscape of the Champagne region: an intricate geometric tapestry of pale green, cream and pinkish chalk vine fields, where man-made straight lines are broken up by the intuitive shapes of forests and rivers.
